Read Eazy (Reazy)
An Android app providing educational support for students with dyslexia.
Overview
Read Eazy — Reazy — is an Android application designed to provide reading and learning support for students with dyslexia. It was developed under the Going Global Diversity and Inclusion Partnership programme, funded by the British Council in 2024, as a collaboration between Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Queen’s University Belfast (QUB).
Motivation
Dyslexia affects how people decode text, and conventional reading material and apps rarely account for the typographic and pacing adjustments that make reading more accessible. Reazy focuses on that gap for students, packaging accessibility adjustments into a mobile experience that can be used both in the classroom and at home.
What it does
- Presents reading content with dyslexia-friendly typography and layout options.
- Provides reading-support features aimed at students working through text at their own pace.
- Runs on Android phones so it can be used outside of a dedicated computer lab.

- In November 2025, the project received a further £10,000 award from the International Science Partnerships Fund, administered by Queen’s University Belfast and made possible by the Northern Ireland Department for the Economy, to build on the results of the original British Council grant.
